Environmental Impact of machining
Since green manufacturing is going to be a “must” for the production of this century, arise the need to optimize the machining processes that have an heavy environmental footprint due both to a large use of energy and lubricants. MTRL is active on the machining process monitoring and analysis of environmental impact and its optimization, like the definition of guidelines to reduce as possible the environmental impact and the development of a model to predict the energy consumption of the whole process and of the single axis.
