Milling optimization
Milling is a key process for many applications that require high productivity and good surface finish/geometrical tolerances. The modeling of the milling operation has the aim to improve the process performance and provide support for an optimal process planning. Current research activities are: thin walled machining, analysis of cutting coefficient for hardened materials, effect of process parameters on cutting forces, etc.
