Machine tool dynamics
Machine tool dynamics is crucial to improve the performance of the modern machine tool. MTRL focus his efforts on the modeling of both the machine behavior and interface with the machining operations. Among the actual research activities, MTRL works on: prediction of machine tool dynamics using Receptance Coupling techniques, development of experimental tests to characterize the dynamic behavior of the system, simulation of the whole machine behavior using flexible multi body approach, etc.
