Dr. Gianni Campatelli is Assistant Professor at the University of Firenze since 2005, where he obtained his PhD in Machine Design. He is head of the reserach unit on Production (MTRL – Manufacturing Techonology Research Lab). His main research interests are: manufacturing systems, with special attention to machining, non conventional processes and welding. He is also an expert of new industrial organizational models, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and EFQM. He has been involved in many collaborations with industrial companies for innovation of production process. He is actually WP leader within INTEFIX and FACTS4WORKER projects (EU funded) and many national and local research activities.

Affiliations: Italian Association of Mechanical Technology, Italian Academy of Six Sigma, Machine Tool Technology Research Foundation. Up to now he has published over 60 scientific papers at conferences and in journals.
